Cats & Dogs - The Way You Love Them!

I'm Steven Fromewick, the resident pet photographer of NYPetShots. I have been a pet owner for most of my life, I got my first camera over 30 years ago, and I've lived in NYC my whole life. Recently I decided to combine these three passions: pets, photography and NYC.  The result is NYPetShots.

Today, almost everyone has a digital camera. As I've handed out my promotional cards at dog-runs & pet shops, I've heard from many pet owners who've told me that they take hundreds of photos of their pets.  The question I pose is this, how many of those photos really capture that special something that makes our pet so unique and lovable?  How many of those shots are almost perfect, but ruined, by that stranger's leg in the shot, or the awful shadow on the wall?  In truth, we all take photos, but we wouldn't use our point&shoot cameras for photographing a wedding, or a cherished family portrait. You deserve a higher quality memory of your beloved companions than a simple snapshot or mugshot.  You deserve a NYPetShot photo.

I do not shoot in a studio, and my shots are not Sears type blue background pretty portraits.  Of course, the photos are quite beautiful, but with PERSONALITY!  My studios are the streets of NYC or the confines of your home.  I photograph your pets in the environments in which they are most comfortable.

I take photos of your pets in their FAVORITE PLACES, doing their FAVORITE THINGS, with their FAVORITE PEOPLE . . . YOU!   So, whether your pet is most precious when curled up in your favorite chair, or most alive with that wild look in her eyes as she runs in the park for a frisbee; I'll catch those special moments.

Take a look at some of my photographs, and read some of the testimonials from NYPetShots customers. I think you'll find the services I offer to be quite reasonable.  You can even turn your NYPetShots photo into a stunning simulated Oil Painting on Stretched Canvas. If you have questions that aren't answered in my FAQ section, please use the  contact page, or send an EMAIL to Steven@NYPetShots.com. If you still want to take your own photos . . . go right ahead.  In that case, take a look at my Pet Photography Tutorial.  I have some tips that I think will help you get better quality results. Finally, I want your photo session to be enjoyable and your photographs to be exactly what you were looking for.

                                                                 I GUARANTEE IT!

One More Thing: When you look at the People & Pets gallery, you'll notice a very poor quality snapshot of a young boy and a German Shephard puppy.  It's me, taken many years ago.  It's the only photograph I have left of myself  with my wonderful pet.  I put it up there because I like to look at it from time to time, and I thought visitors might want to see a photograph of this magnificant animal.  I wish I had many more, and of course, I wish it wasn't a mere snapshot.
